Oriented Exploration of Instinctual Genius

Mādhava Unite yoga classes are oriented towards the exploration of the body’s instinctual genius and how these finer imprinted distinctions can then be utilized and practiced as blue prints for intuited discoveries.  So much of life these days can be spent in the mundane realm of always having to do something, get something done, or be somewhere when you may not necessarily feel like it.  We have all been there.  You know, when your body tells you absolutely no way, but we do it anyway?

These ancient sacred practices of yoga that have made such an impactful comeback in our modern day, invite the practitioner to develop a devotional disposition through the observation and training of our more primal or natural instincts.  In these ways, we see how yoga communes with the natural world and works in the structural framework of the body instrument to unite or yoke our devotional impressions with our natural instincts.  Intuition is inherent to every being.  By fine tuning instinctual distinctions through the movements of our bodies, we begin to work with the more subtler devotional aspects that reveal how habitual or learned perceptions shape our reality.

A Practice of Re-membering

One could say that the yoga practice is a journey of re-membering our interconnectedness to all beings everywhere through the introspection of our unique microcosmic expression. Mādhava Unite yoga classes weave in a balance of dynamic, active, and passive (restorative) exercises through an elemental exploration of:

  • Earth (rooting)
  • Water (forward bending)
  • Fire (back bending)
  • Air and Ether (inversions and uniting all as one)

The elemental exploration distinguishes how these various movements and elements correspond to specific organs, bodily systems, and energy centers. If it exists out there, it must exist within. Yoga is a holistic health practice that restores vitality and encourages deep breath awareness and fascia release. The teachings are a unified source of both linear and non-linear movements that provide an experiential approach to healing as a way of life.

All levels welcome.
